Editorial policy
Clear Movie Review aims to explain film and viewing choices accurately, fairly and in language that general readers can follow. We separate observation from interpretation and make changes when a clear error is brought to our attention.
Accuracy and care
We check names, terminology and factual statements before publication, and take care not to overstate what a scene or technique proves. Where a point is interpretive, we frame it as a reading rather than a settled fact. We do not claim first-hand testing or research that has not taken place.
Independence and partners
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to favour a partner or product. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, and its commercial relationship is made plain. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error, write through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests and amend confirmed errors, making the change clear when the correction is material.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Illustrations are not presented as documentary evidence or as frames from a film unless that is expressly stated.
Clarity is a craft, not a shortcut
A film can ask for close attention without making every detail a puzzle. We look at the choices that help viewers find their way through a story.
